Cookies Notice
Last updated: October 22, 2026
In short: this site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. It uses a little of your browser's local storage only to remember your own preferences.
1. Cookies we use
By default, heic-convert.net does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.
2. Local storage for your preferences
Instead of cookies, the site saves two small values in your browser's local storage:
| Name | Purpose | Stored |
|---|---|---|
| h2j-theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme | On your device only |
| h2j-q | Remembers your preferred JPG quality setting | On your device only |
These values never leave your device and are not used to identify or track you. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
3. If we add analytics or advertising later
If we ever introduce analytics or advertising (including Google services), this notice and our Privacy Policy will be updated first, the specific cookies will be listed here, and visitors in regions that require it (such as the EU and UK) will be shown a consent banner with the ability to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set.
